Bitching between Bloggers
Blogging is a business for a lot people, as well as a community for others. That’s the reality that some of us just don’t realise.
Recently I have read many posts about bloggers complaining about hateful and very hurtful comments said to other bloggers, and sometimes I read them and think yes, of course that’s wrong and I fully appreciate and understand the hurt this can cause. Yes it’s unnessecary, but blogging is now a business and a very big business.
Everybody wants a piece of the money pile, and like every business there will be people with blogs at the top who are making very good money.
Why is that I ask myself?
Well,first of all blogging is hard work and to reach the top believe me you have to have worked hard. You have to have a very good brand that’s well known and produces great content. The biggest thing is that it needs to have a huge readership. If you were a big brand looking to advertise your product that’s where you are going to go first. That’s just the way of the world.
It takes years to build that brand with lots of commitment and dedication, so there is no point in moaning that you don’t get these offers if you haven’t been blogging very long.
The times that friends have said to me, that they need to start a blog to get all these free things! It’s not that easy I always tell them and it simply doesnt happen overnight and like any other line of work there is no secret formula. It’s called hard work.
Whether you work in an office, factory or in fact anywhere, people have the ability to be nice to each other, but human nature has a dark side which can be hurtful and people can be very hateful towards each other so why would anybody think that blogging is any different? It’s not!
It may be a community, but it’s also a business and sometimes you need to let things go over your head and actually if they are bitching about you, they are leaving some other poor soul alone. So actually you are inadvertently helping someone!
Blogging is very competitive and a lot of us want to be at the top of the tree so maybe instead of bitching about what one person said or what campaign they got that you didn’t, why not look at yourself and your blog and see what you need to do to change your blog to be challenging for these opportunities if that is the reason you are blogging for monetary rewards or reviewing products.
Blogging is a fantastic commumnity, but like anything in life, if there is money swimming around it can create bad feeling amongst people. Money has a habit of doing that!
You can of course do something very simple which is the joy of social media. You can block them from your social media accounts then you don’t need to see and read any of the hurtful things being said about you or somebody else.
It’s very important to remember why you started blogging in the beginning. For me it was to chronicle my childrens and my own family life so it’s there for them to read one day and if it brings some opportunities along the way m, well that’s great, but I have never expected it.

I'm going to use bitching and haters as the kids say, as a form of achievement. I won't stop until I get some hate, that way I know I will have made it 😀😀😀💪👊

People get jealous, we're all guilty of it from time to time. There are some out there with thousands of views a day, making all kinds of money, and I think they stink. I think I'm better than them. Never in a million years would I say anything mean to them or admit it out loud ( except for right now ) People just need to know when to stay quiet and worry about themselves

Oh I love this post for its positive attitude. I have never come across any bitching (touch wood) but that's probably because no one really knows me and I don't really make any money-haha!

I love this Nige, I’ve been saddened by all of the bitching I’ve seen amongst bloggers lately. I think it’s the same as any profession, there will always be those who are desperate to be at the top of their game, and they don’t care who they trample on to get there. I understand that, and in a way I admire their ambition, but for me, it’s about being a decent person and having respect, and admiration, for other bloggers too. There is a place for EVERY single blog out there, the fact is nobody else can write your story like you can, and in that way it’s a very personal thing. I prefer to bury my head in the sand, carry on being true to myself and the reasons why I blog, and being thoroughly grateful that I have met some lovely bloggers along the way. xxx

Love your post friend! I think I’m going to follow your shit from now on.
Few words of advice, though (of which I have to remind myself constantly): check your spacing and proofread for typos. I know that sometimes the formatting fucks up between editing and posting (people catch my mistakes all the time), but as a reader it throws me off. This is the first time I’ve happened upon your page and if I wasn’t a struggling blogger myself, I’d be turned off by the errors.

so, so much of this around at the moment, is it getting worse I wonder. We all get jealous sometimes but nothing is a good enough excuse to start bitching about someone. Well, done for putting this out there, we need to let the haters know that they’ll never win.
