Blackout Blind Review from Order Blinds
During the summer months the light nights can be very frustrating when it comes to our childrens’ bedtime. Our twin girls are usually in bed by 7 o’clock, but the sunshine is sometimes streaming through the window in their bedroom so it’s hard to get them to go to sleep when it’s still light. In addition to this come 5am it’s light again so this means they’re up early too!
The blinds are made to measure at no extra cost which is great if you don’t have a standard size window. Our window measures 176cm x 75cm. The blind for this costs £61, which I think is great value for money.
As the blackout blinds are made from thermal fabric it makes them ideal for use in bedrooms. The blinds arrived quickly and everything I needed to put them together was included in the box: brackets, screws and fixings etc.
The instruction leaflet included was easy to follow with helpful illustrations. Fitting the blinds was quick and easy, as the three brackets simply screw into the top of the window reveal and the head rail snaps into place.
To open and close the blinds you simply twist the wand, and to draw them open you just pull the wand the required direction to open them.
I will also just add that the vertical blinds are really great quality. They’re thick enough to block out the majority of light and they look great too.
Overall, I’m really pleased with these blinds. They’re great quality and value for money, plus hopefully now the girls will go to sleep a little better and have a lay in, consequently giving mummy and daddy a lie in too! Only time will tell!
For the purpose of this review we were sent the above blinds free of charge. All views and opinions are 100% my own.
