Brilliant dad feature week 54
This week our brilliant dad is Adam, who is 34 years old and a dad to little M. Adam is married to Mrs M and he is from West Yorkshire. Hes also the owner of a marketing agency, Far’n’Beyond. Adam blogs at It’s Adam Again.
Since becoming a parent he has discovered that he doesn’t like soft play centres so he is always on the lookout for more unusual and adventurous toddler days out.
He has also written a few short stories ‘Matthew and the Shnugglefluffle’ for his toddler who since birth has been challenged by sleep.
Thank you very much for Adam taking part in the Brilliant Dad feature.
1. Have you always wanted to be a dad?
Yes. Its always something I knew I wanted, but I didn’t realise how much until it happened.
2. How did you feel when your children were born?
Relieved. When I could see ‘Little M’ I could comfort him, check on him and was able to do something.
3. What have been your most rewarding experiences so far as a Dad?
Our relationship is what I find most rewarding. Hugs, Kisses and when he says “My Daddy”.
4. What are some of funniest moments to have happened to you as a dad?
The situations you find yourself in when you try and do things ‘your way’, ignoring the advice of others! I recently decided to get him ready for bed in the back of the car after nursery, following a tantrum the previous week. As I closed the child locked doors on us both, I realised my mistake.
5. Have there been any situations with your children that you have found difficult to cope with?
Every situation when out and about after he was first born. I was very self conscious, particularly when out on my own with our non sleeping challenging baby.
6. What are your dreams and hopes for your children?
That they grow up to be happy, healthy well rounded caring individuals… who can support their parents through their twilight years! 🙂
