Cherish Your Special Family Holiday Moments In Photobooks
I’m a dad of nine year old twin girls and it is incredible how quickly they have grown. It doesn’t seem like yesterday that they were saying their first word or taking those tentative first steps, and then their first day of school and our first family holiday rolled around just as quickly. The time really does fly by and before you know it they will be off to university and if you’re not careful all you will have left is memories in your mind. Thankfully my wife and I have made sure that we have taken lots of photos of the girls as they were growing up.
Since the girls were born we have been very lucky to have had many family holidays. Some of those holidays have been very special. When we do go abroad to make sure those special family holidays are forever preserved we took lots of photos. Here are a few of the special holidays we have been on as a family.
1. Minorca
The girls were only 18 months old when we decided to go on a family holiday to Minorca. To make it extra special their Nana and older siblings came along to make it a very special occasion. The girls loved having their Nana on holiday with them for those extra special hugs that only Nana’s can give. They also loved having their older sisters and brothers on holiday with them to play with in the paddling pools at the hotel. The girls were very young and will have limited memories, but we took lots of photos so they can always look at them to see how much they loved the holiday.

2. Disneyland Paris
One of the most incredible family holidays we went on was to Disneyland Paris when our twin girls were just five years old. Both my I and myself are huge Disney fans so it seemed the most natural thing in the world to take the girls to Disneyland Paris.
This holiday will always hold a very special place in my heart. The girls were at an age where they still believed in the magic of Disney and to them all of the characters were real. There was one particular moment where they met Peter Pan and Wendy and their little faces were just so magical. They were totally convinced and it was such a beautiful moment that brought a tear to my eye, thankfully we have saved this moment with photos.

The memories for the girls have been saved forever because when we got back home from Disneyland Paris we made sure all the photos of family holidays and photos of the girls meeting all the Disney characters. We decided that the perfect way for a keepsake for the girls was to have all the photos put into photobooks from Bonusprint. So that in years to come they can look back and remember what was an amazing family holiday.
3. Camping at River Dart
A few years ago when the girls were 7 years old we went camping for the first time as a family. Actually this was the first time I had ever been camping and I have to say I was a little doubtful I would enjoy it. I have always preferred the luxury of an all inclusive holiday.

Once we had pitched our tent and started our camping holiday I instantly felt very relaxed and it is easily one of the best holidays I have ever had. I often look at the photos of our camping holiday with fondness. It was a magical time.
With all the family holidays we have had the most important thing to do in my opinion is to take photos, so as the memories fade you can re-ignite the memories by getting out a photobook of a particular family holiday and cherish the moment forever.
Do you make photobooks of your holidays? I would love to hear in the comments below.
