Den Building:My Sunday Photo
During the last week the girls have been waking up at crazy early hours, this of course is down to the very hot and sticky nights we have been experiencing in the uk.
It is of course very unusual for us to have such consistently warm weather, but I’m not complaining it’s beautiful and being able to live in shorts, t-shirts and flip-flops is the only way to live for me.
So the girls getting up early has meant that every morning that I have walked into our lounge. A den has been made from the dining room chairs, and lots of blankets, duvet covers and lots of hairbands. Here they are posing in front of their creation looking very proud. Which actually put a smile on my face even though it was only 5am.
This being a school day the chances of them tidying up is very slim, don’t worry dad will sort it out, is their usual response and off to school they go, leaving their den fully intact.
Which of course this leaves us to take it down, which in fact consists of at least 100 hairbands which are holding it all together.

I love the idea of that den being held together with hair bands! That’s so amazing and an impressive den it is too. And yes, dad will sort it out as he always does! Sounds like my household Nigel.

Oh my word, that is quite a den. I don’t think anyone has been sleeping well in this heat.

hahaha I used to do this when I was little! My kids do it too but we have a kitchen island / breakfast bar thing so they just throw blankets over that. 2 minute job to tidy up 🙂 #MySundayPhoto #SilentSunday
