Engie Car Maintenance Review

March 22, 2017

Car maintenance is something that we maybe we take for granted and for one reason or another we put off servicing to another day. After all the car is running ok no need to get it check. Of course so often that is false economy  and then the car goes wrong and costs so much more to repair.

So imagine you have a device that simply plugs into your car and scans it and tells you if their are any faults with your car. Well it would be a bit like taking your car to garage but you don’t have to because you have the Engie diagnostic device. I was recently sent one and I have to admit I was very impressed.
Engie is new to the market place and basically it’s a device that scans your car and you then read the results via the free app that you have downloaded to your iPhone. What could be simpler and this really is simple to use.

The first thing I did was download the Engie app the app was really easy to follow and creating an account took just a few seconds. The device itself is suitable for literally hundreds of cars and you set the app to your make and model of car. Once you have done that you look up where the device is plugged into in your car. I have to admit I was doubtful that where I was to plug the device in the car actually wouldn’t be there. But it was exactly where the app said it would be.

You sync the car to the app and you are ready to scan your car for faults when syncing the car you must have the engine running and the syncing took a few seconds.

Once the sync is done just press scan on the app this took a few minutes and gave detail results of what is wrong with your car.
If there is a fault with your car then you can get real-time quotes from local garages and this is all done via the app. I particularly like this idea so as I don’t have to drive around numerous garages to find out why my car is not running properly and then find a reasonable quote by a reputable garage.

The engie device and app is the most innovative device I have seen in a long time it takes the stress out of feeling that when you go the garage that maybe they are doing more work than is required which if I’m honest I have always wondered. Of course that’s not to say all garages are like that.

The fact that I have scanned the car and I can then go along and say this is what’s wrong with car is very reassuring.

My overall opinion of the Engie device and app is it is a brilliant idea and I’m very impressed by its ease of use and I would recommend it very highly.

This is collaborative post and all views and opinions are 100% mine.
