Euro 2016 Welsh and Proud

For the first time in my lifetime Wales are competing in a major tournament, and for Wales to reach the finals is in itself an amazing achievement, especially when you consider the size of our nation and the limited choice of players at our disposal.

Let’s be honest, the majority of people will write Wales off, to not even get out of the group stages. I think they’re wrong because we have the secret weapon which is Gareth Bale.  The English defence will not be able to deal with him!

The English centre backs are very average and with Gareth Bale running at them they will be very worried because he is one of the very few world class players at the tournament and he will totally run circles around the English defence.

As usual we will have the English arrogance, that they are the best team in the world. Come on! 1966 was the last time anything was won and there’s not a player in the English team that is world class. The likes of Rooney never achieve at big tournaments, they’re always a huge let down. In the warm-up matches England may have won their matches, but they’re hardly impressive performances. 

Wales are a good team with a couple of very special players. I truly believe we can win the group and progress to the knock out stages. England will fail to do that. At least that’s my prediction. 

Great players like Gareth Bale are made for the big stage and this is his moment to shine. 

I recently watched the Champions league final and Gareth Bale was easily one of best players playing. 

So come on Wales let’s show the world how good we are! We will be the under dogs and that could easily be a huge advantage for us. Nothing to lose, but everything to gain.
