Finally going to meet some dad bloggers and dads

Today June 4th I am on my way to London for a dad event organised by Al Ferguson from The Dad Network. There will be plenty of dad bloggers and just dads there that I have only ever seen or talked to online. 

I am without question excited, but also incredibly nervous because I will be totally out of my comfort zone, which is not something I do often, if ever. 

I was thinking to myself why am I so nervous? It’s about meeting and talking to people that I don’t know, but I have spoken to these dads lots on Twitter or Facebook so they are hardly strangers, but this doesn’t alter the fact that in these sorts of situations I get very nervous and the last thing i want to do is get verbal diarrhoea and make an idiot of myself, but I also don’t want to be the quiet one with nothing to say! A very fine line I think!

It’s great that now I have been blogging for a while that this is the next step for me to start meeting people and I do find that exciting to finally put people to a social media image that I have had until now. 

I have debated should I go, shouldn’t I go, but it’s time to bite the bullet and get myself out there and I am really looking forward to it. 

Of course the upside is that I get to spend a day out on my own, now that is a novelty! Not sure that has happened in a very long time!
