Giving Your Home A Touch Of Sophistication with A Balustrade System

January 5, 2021

There was a time that the only type of balustrade system you would find in your home would be wooden, which, at it’s time was perfect, but times have moved on. Nowadays the trend in our homes for a more clean cut finish that will also be mostly maintenance free. This is where glass balustrades or a glass and steel balustrade has grown in demand and with the manufacturing of such products made easier and more affordable people are looking at this as a new alternative to the dated looking wooden balustrade systems that require lots of maintenance as well as painting or staining at regular intervals.

Here are a few areas in the home that a glass balustrade system or a glass and steel balustrade system would be perfect either inside or outside the home.

1. Hall landing and stairs

The hall, landing and stairs is often the forgotten area of any home. It is very often treated as just an avenue to reach other parts of your home such as the kitchen, lounge or the bedrooms.

This is a total misconception and you could make the hall, landing and stairs a feature that will have the wow factor and a perfect way to achieve that is to have a glass and metal balustrade system. It will create a feeling of space and will open up what is often a very closed up area. It will also add a touch of sophistication to the whole area and totally cut down maintenance in an area that with wooden balustrades require lots of painting on a regular basis.

The wow factor will be instant as soon as you open your front door and you see a beautiful stainless steel and glass balustrade system.

2. Patio Area

If your patio area is decked, a really beautiful way to finish off the area and divide it from the grassed and garden part of your home is to have a frameless glass balustrade system. This will not only look fantastic it will also give you an uninterrupted view of your garden. If you decide to raise your decking because your garden is lower than your home so it feels an extension of your home you can continue the seamless glass balustrade system into a staircase down to your garden with a stainless steel handrail. Giving your back garden a very sophisticated and modern look and of course reducing maintenance to a minimum.

3. Balconies

Many homes today have balconies which are perfect for sitting on during the summer to maybe have your breakfast or lunch on a sunny day. The perfect finish for a balcony is a glass and steel balustrade system. So when you are sitting having your breakfast you have an uninterrupted view of your garden so you can see all your flowers and shrubs bloom in the summer months.

There are three ways that you can add a touch of class and sophistication to your home using glass and steel balustrade system.

Do you have a glass or a glass and steel balustrade in your home? I would love to hear in the comments below.
