How My iPhone 12 Has Help My Wellness Journey Over The Last 12 Months
The last two years of our lives have without a doubt been the strangest and toughest that any of us have experienced ever. This is due to the Covid pandemic that swept across the world. Of course many people lost their lives because of coronavirus, however as we are nearing the end of the pandemic it has become apparent that our mental wellbeing and health has also been affected due to the restrictions and lockdowns that we have had to endure. I’m sure I’m not alone when I say how important it has been for me to keep my mental wellbeing in check over the last 12 months. During this time, thankfully I had my iPhone 12 which helped enormously with my mental health.

When you mention the iPhone 12 and how it can help your wellbeing mentally or physically a lot of people will instantly disagree. This couldn’t be further from the truth because most people simply don’t know how to get the best out of their iPhone for improving mental and physical health. The iPhone 12 grants us access to features and apps that can help with our wellbeing. This is particularly true for myself over the last 12 months when we have been living with some sort of restrictions in our lives.
Here are a few ways that my iPhone 12 has personally helped me with different apps and features I have used in the last 12 months.
1. Exercise
One of the biggest passions in my life is cycling. Ever since I learnt to ride a bike as a child I instantly fell in love with cycling. During the pandemic it was a perfect way to help my mental and physical wellbeing. Both vastly improved because when you exercise you release endorphins which will improve your mood and just make you feel better about yourself. This of course will consequently help your mental wellbeing. This was a life saver during the last 12 months for me.

The Strava app is the one app I always turn on before I go on a bike ride to record not only my bike ride, but it also gives me a full run-down of my bike ride. It has stats showing speed, distance, elevation etc and this is great to know so I can keep on improving my cycling.

2. Meditation
During the last 12 months where we have had restrictions and lockdowns for quite long periods, the one thing I found particularly difficult was the rise in my anxiety levels. It was the fear of catching coronavirus because I suffer from high blood pressure so if I caught it would I be really ill. This would make my anxiety levels get out of control.
There are many apps available on the iPhone 12 that can help with anxiety through the art of meditation. One particular app I found really helpful is called Headspace. It showed me meditation skills that would help keep my anxiety under control.
3. Health
Keeping a check on your health is so important and the iPhone 12 has a brilliant feature which is quite simply called Health. It’s on all iPhones and will automatically check your walking speed, distance and also your daily step count. These are all very important so that you are staying as healthy as possible.
4. Eating
It is all very well doing exercise on a regular basis but it can be undone if you aren’t eating as healthy as possible. So over the last 12 months I have started to improve my diet so that it is as healthy as possible. This works well together with exercise.
There is an abundance of apps available on the App Store via your iPhone 12 to help you cook healthy meals. One particular app I used extensively is Eat Well. It has a huge range of healthy recipes to choose from.
The iPhone 12 has been so helpful to me on my wellness journey over the last 12 months with all the features and apps it has to offer. For me personally my iPhone has been a must have to aid so many parts of life.
Do you use your phone to help with your wellness journey? I would love to hear in the comments below.
