Is technology taking over
Is technology taking over?
Yes is the simple answer!
I have realised over the last couple of weeks my phone is super glued to my right hand and it’s actually annoying me.
I started blogging about eight months ago and as month by month has passed I have become addicted to blogging, believing that I need to add new content to my blog at least five out of seven days and this simply stresses me ou,t but I believe if I want the blog to grow this has to be done.
I have become obsessed with page views and getting re-tweets, and of course all of this is done on my phone.
I ask myself how did this happened because it has certainly crept in. I suppose the truth is technology is addictive and blogging can become obsessive.
Is it a bad thing? Well, yes it is if it impacts on your family time which I believe I was allowing it to do
So for about 5 days I took a step back didn’t post, didn’t write anything new. I put my phone to one side and started to enjoy time with the twins and not worry about Twitter, Facebook or anything else.
Blogging for me when I started was a hobby, nothing more nothing less and I’m determined to keep it that way after the step back I have taken in the last few days.

Good for you Nige. You are right. Blogging is totally addictive. For me blogging provides no income so I have told myself that it cannot rule my spare time and I certainly can't let it even feature in the precious few hours that I have with my son. I average 2-3 posts a week and social media is mostly done in snatched moments when he's gone to bed or on my commute to and from work. I am sure your blog won't suffer for it, and if it does, then so what. It is a hobby and hobbies are not meant to be a bind. Enjoy your blogging.
