Keeping Up With The Household Chores
Finding the time in our very hectic lifestyles that we all seem to lead in 2020 means that it is without doubt very difficult to keep up with all the household jobs and the ever growing list of DIY jobs.
When you are both working full-time it’s very difficult to simply find the time to keep on top of the cleaning or the laundry.
When the weekend comes if you are parents you want to spend time with children enjoying days out or just chilling in the back garden as a family whilst maybe cooking a bbq in the summertime.
Once your working week is done and Friday night has arrived all we want to have is a family weekend having fun and just set aside a couple of hours over the weekend to prepare for Monday morning.
Here are a few tips to make your weekends stress free so as a family you can just have fun and enjoy being in each other’s company.
1. Keeping The House Clean
This is one job that has to be done at least once a week and if you are anything like me the last thing you want to do on a weekend is clean the house. If you are both working full-time, a great way to get around not having to clean all weekend is to consider hiring house cleaners. Most big cities will have plenty of cleaners to choose from such as House Cleaning Sydney. This is a great way to free your weekends up. They will come into your home while you are in work and your children are at school. The benefit is of course that your weekends are free to have quality family time and of course your home is beautifully clean.
2. Laundry and Ironing
This is one chore that never ends. Kids or least mine, wear a massive amount of clothes and usually only once and they then need washing. This is a time when it’s probably time to find a local laundry service so you can keep up with all the washing. A local ironing service is always available and for us as a family it’s a must to keep up with all the ironing. This will leave you with one less job to do on the weekend.
3. DIY Jobs
I have a long list of small jobs but they’re quite time consuming and I quite honestly manage to do one job and end up with three more jobs being added to the list.
If you look through your local press or maybe at the local shops you will always find a local handyman. They are usually retired tradespeople and will be able to do all those DIY jobs around your home at a very reasonable cost.
