Making sure my daughter has some home comforts at university
My 19 year old daughter has just started her second year at university and the time has come to move out of her university halls into a shared accommodation house in student land.
When she was in the halls of residence I took comfort in the fact that she was safe and living in a clean environment, but of course that needs to change.
She no longer has any university staff to fall back on for support and I guess this is the time to mature and take full responsibility for oneself. Of course I’m sure she’ll take all of this in her stride.
Now that she’s living with about eight other students in a house I like to think that she has some home comforts to make her happier and more comfortable. Hopefully this well make her journey through university smooth and go without any hiccups.
She is studying child nursing which means she goes out on placement to different hospitals and this will also involve working typical NHS shifts which means lots of night shifts.
Therefore it was important to me to know that my daughter was getting a good nights sleep whatever the time of the day to cope with all her university studies.

Her room is actually in the the attic space and most probably through the winter months will be colder than the rest of the house.
So when I was recently approached to review a Silentnight sleepy hollow full bed set it seemed like great timing as it’s my daughters second year at university, so this would be the finishing touch for her room.
The bed set comes with a 10.5 tog, duvet, pillow and mattress protector. It’s great quality from Silentnight, a leading maker of bedding. It’s also reasonably priced at £28.99 and is available to buy here.
This set is hypo-allergenic and can even be tumble dried.

Along with her pictures of family on the walls and all her little nick-necks, and of course her favourite cuddly toy that she’s had since she was a little girl, this will help make her room feel like a home from home and now I know that that she will be as snug as a bug in a rug!
For the purpose of this review I was gifted this bed set. All views and opinions are 100% my own.
