Men’s Health Week with Tena Men

June 20, 2016

There are a number of things that men would rather simply not talk about, and certain health matters are top of that list.

More often than not men don’t visit their GP and would rather keep health issues to themselves. Many men don’t even get a regular health check.

Men’s health week is 13th -19th of June and Tena Men set me a 7 day challenge to improve my health.

Day 1
It’s very important to stay hydrated during the day as it helps to maintain a healthy bladder. I have always been a lover of water so when I found a Zekolo infusion water bottle inside the parcel that TENA Men sent me I was thrilled!
It always me to add any fruit I want to make drinking water more of a pleasure. I’ve seen my wife eyeing this bottle up a few times, so I think I’m going to have to hide it! I like to add strawberries to mine! It means I can easily reach my target of six to eight glasses of water a day.

Day 2
Excerise was the challenge on day 2 and it’s recommended that you do 150 minutes of aerobic activity such as cycling or fast waking or running per week. My wife runs on a regular basis so it seemed obvious to go running with her.
I had my Bioband Smart Watch to keep track of my steps and monitor my heart rate which then help will me improve my fitness regime.

Day 3
The challenge today was about looking good because looking good makes you feel great. Nowadays with the rise of manscaping every man wants their nether regions tidy and neat.

To help with this men can use the Below the belt grooming kit which I received.

It’s highly recommend by many men as a waterless shower groin cleanser which is to your chaps what dry shampoo is to hair.

Day 4

The most important meal of the day is breakfast. It kick starts your metabolism and keeps you fuelled for the day.
A proper breakfast can stop you snacking, and I highly recommend Oomf bench pressed oats high protein muesli served with milk, yogurt or honey. It’s delicious and a great start to the day.

Day 5
Now here’s a subject most men wouldn’t talk about. In fact a fifth of men would rather not say anything than admit they suffer from urine leakage, but one in four men over the age of 40 suffer from this in the UK.
There are certain measures you can take to control your bladder such as avoiding trigger foods or drinks like caffeine and alcohol. Also clenching your pelvic floor can help.
For men that do suffer there is Tena men protective shield that locks in all the drips and dribbles allowing you to get on with your day.
You can order a free sample here: http://www..Tena.co.uk/men/products/free-sample

Day 6
Today’s challenge was all about staying calm and stress free. Life is so fast today and we all know that it’s difficult so here are a few tips to keep calm and stress free.
• Take five deep breaths in and out
• Imagine all the stress leaving your body with each exhale
•  If needed do this every few hours
It’s also very important to use the right deodorant. Nivea 48h stress protect is good for extra protection against stress making you look calm and collected.

Day 7
So far we have talked about all phisyical activities, but it’s important to exercise the brain and what better way than a Tangram puzzle. Not only is it lots of fun, but it keeps the brain ticking over.

That’s my seven day challenge for mens health week that I did in conjunction with Tena men. I have definitly benefited and feel loads better so why not give it go.
Would love to know how you get on.

    Hey

Nice “challenge” (it should really not be a challenge to eat and be healthy). I would recommend you trying Pomegranate they have helped me gain a huge health boost!
