Mister Maker Bumper Craft Box & Make a Face Sticker Book Review

Our twin girls love craft activities. It’s probably something to do with all the mess and glue! When Mothercare got in touch with me about reviewing some items from their range I headed straight to the craft section and chose to review a Mister Maker Bumper Craft Box (£20) and two Melissa and Doug Sticker Pad – Make a Face (£4.99).

The first thing the girls wanted to do was explore the contents of the Mister Maker Bumper Craft Box. Inside we found five packets which contained craft kits for various activities. This box is suitable for children aged three and up.

In total there are over 30 craft projects as each craft kit allows you to make more than one craft product.

Each kit includes a variety of different craft materials such as peel and stick EVA foam shapes, felt, lollypop sticks, pom poms, wriggle eyes, glitter glue, PVA glue and more!

The five craft kits included are 3D Foam Models, Colour and Cut Jungle, Finger Puppets, Playstick Pets & Make a Face. I really like that everything you need to complete each craft is included, although we did have to use some of our own PVA glue as there wasn’t enough, but aside from that each kit has everything you need.

I like that they’re all stored in the plastic box as this helps ensure that nothing gets lost.

The first activity we tried was the colour and cut jungle. Each craft kit comes with instructions that are easy to understand. The colour and cut jungle makes a jungle backdrop with 5 different animals: elephant, giraffe, zebra, lion and warthog.

The idea is to colour in the backdrop and the animals using the felt pens provided. There’s also four packs of different coloured glitter, glitter glue and PVA glue in this kit to give your jungle some sparkle.

The girls really enjoyed this activity. I loved seeing their level of concentration whilst colouring in! M’s favourite part was definitely the glitter! She loved sticking it on, whilst R definitely preferred the colouring in aspect.

The next craft kit we did was Play Stick Pets. Included in this kit are some more felt pens, some pipe cleaners, two small bells, wriggly eyes, some strands of wool, felt, cat and god animals to cut out and some PVA glue.

I cut out the cat and dogs for the girls to colour in and then helped them to make their animals a colour using the pipe cleaners and bells. The girls then stuck their pets onto the sticks and continued to decorate them using the wriggly eyes and felt pens.

This was another fun craft activity.

We then moved onto the make a face sticker books. This book is aimed at children aged four years old and over.

Our twins love stickers and they’ve had similar sticker books previously which is why I chose these, I knew they’d enjoy them.

There are 20 different faces and 250 reusable stickers which can be used to make the faces. As well as eyes, mouths and eyebrows etc, there are also earrings, necklaces and other jewels.

For £4.99 I think this book is great value for money.

Overall, we’re very pleased with both the Mister Maker Craft Box and the Sticker Books.

For the purpose of this review were sent the above products. All views and opinions are 100% my own.
