My wife and the girls gardening
First of all I hate gardening with a passion! I even get my mate who is a gardner to mow the lawns for me!
Since we moved into our home about three months ago my wife has more room to do some gardening and has started to grow vegetables and fruit. She’s involved the girls all the way from planting seeds to re-potting and watering all the plants.
The girls have really taken to gardening especially R. She loves to count the plants as they pop up through the soil. It is so wonderful to watch the girls with their mum out in the garden planting and growing an array of vegetables and plants.
My wife has taught them a valuable lesson about how growing your own food is a good way of getting food and as time goes by they will be able to eat the strawberrys, carrots, spring onions, tomatoes, potatoes, salads and herbs that they have helped grow and when they get to eat them hopefully they will remember they grew them from seed and as they get older they will appreciate the benefits of growing your own food.

This is so sweet! I can't wait for my daughter to be old enough to get messy & help with the gardening. She helped me to plant some sunflowers a couple of weeks ago, but only just being one she enjoyed trying to eat the mud & drink the water in the watering can more! 🙂

It's so wonderful when you can grow your own vegetables. I love going outside to pick a lettuce or tomatoes in the summer and I think that when children are involved they are more likely to eat them too!

I'm with you! Not a gardening fan. I like the weeding and graft but the growing and fiddling is my hubby's love. It's great to see the girls getting so involved and learning. Hopefully my little girl will be the same too! #binkulinky

I'm not keen on gardening but only because I hate bugs and anything crawly! Ha Ha! I am going to try and get my girls into gardening soon!

Emily is doing a fantastic job there isn't she! I wish I had the patience and time to encourage my little ones in the garden.
