Me time

May 4, 2015

Some days I feel like I never get a break from the same old same old not very often I admit, but very occasionally I feel like I am ready to explode with all the pressures life gives us.

The routine of work, children etc can be all consuming and just every now and again it would be nice to have some me time.
My work is very busy with customers constantly wanting me to do something. I know I would be moaning if I had no work and I should thank my lucky stars that I am so busy, but nowadays it is constant moving from one job to another without even taking a breath as I simply don’t get time. I work weekends to keep up with the workload. This is the joys of being self-employed. If I don’t do it no-one does and if I don’t I won’t get paid.
At home three year old twins are incredibly time consuming. They’re always on the go! With one child the demands are not so difficult, but with twins once one has finished demanding the other one starts demanding so there is no rest!
I have an ageing mother who seems to constantly need something done and I have found that difficult to cope with. She seems to have a never ending amount of hospital and doctors appointments.
So I suppose a combination of running my life at 100mph every now and then means I get irritated and grumpy at the smallest thing because I just want a few minutes to myself, but never seem to achieve it.

Tomorrow morning it starts again! Wake up at about six o’clock and leave for work at about 7.30 to go and make somebody’s house pretty. I’m not moaning as I get paid very well for what I do, but then again what I do is very good work, but there are days I could just say no, I cant be bothered as the pressure at times can be incredible.

So how do I manage my work, home and family to make me feel more contented and have some me time just to stand back from everything, relax, take everything in, enjoy my family and feel like I am enjoying my life.
I will finally add that for 99.9% of the year I am perfectly fine just now and again it gets me down .
