Our Family Day Out At West Midlands Safari Park

Last Saturday we visited West Midlands Safari Park. We have been before when the twins were three years old. Now they are five years old, they can really begin to appreciate all the animals.

In my collage of pictures I managed to capture the lioness on top of a big rock. At just the right moment one walked right in front of our car, and it surprised me how big they are. Thankfully we were all locked inside the car with the windows shut tight.

In my second picture I managed to feed the giraffes which I have to say was a very special moment. I actually couldn’t believe how gentle they were for such a large animal. A funny moment was my wife holding her hand waiting for a giraffe to come towards her, and without her knowing a giraffe came from behind her, she let out a shriek, actually I thought she was going to wet herself, thankfully she didn’t. Haha!

And finally in my collage is easily one of my favourite animals a Rhinoceros. These animals to me look so powerful and majestic, absolutely magnificent.

We then headed into the park and the girls being a bit older, which was great because they were able to go on many more rides either on their own or with us, which was better than the last time we visited as there were very few rides they could go on.

I would admit I’m not a fan of fun fare rides, I have never liked them, but my wife has no problem with them, and it appears my five year old twins follow her, because their favourite was definitely the pirate ship and there was no way you were getting me on that ride.

Our day trip to West Midlands Safari Park was a huge success and we had a fantastic time, can’t wait to go back next year.
