Our trip to see Peppa Pig surprise live show
Over the last 12 months I have entered into Peppa Pig’s world with my twin girls. It never ceases to amaze me what the appeal of certain children’s characters are, but I have sat down with the girls and watched DVDs with them and they seem to be almost hypnotised by Peppa Pig, and actually there is something about her that is very entertaining.
As R and M have always been big fans of Peppa Pig, when the opportunity arose to see the live show in our home town we jumped at the chance.
We went early to the city centre to have lunch. The girls love Burger King and actually we quite like it to!
The show started at 1pm and the girls were getting very excited. We bought the statutory toy, which as usual was overpriced, but never mind the girls have to have a memory of their trip after all!
We sat down ready for the show about 10 minutes before it started and the theatre filled up quickly. All the children were getting very excited.
The show started on time.
As the curtain lifted there was a big cheer from the audience and we were quickly introduced to all of Peppa’s friends by Daisy who has been added to help the show run smoothly.
Then Peppa and George came onto the stage playing hide and seek. It had an almost pantomime feel, but children loved it!
This was then followed by Daddy pig and Mummy pig. All of the characters were really brought to life in a clever way by people either standing or kneeling dressed in black behind them operating the levers of the puppets and to be honest I only saw the characters as I am sure the girls did to.
There was lots of singing and dancing and a huge amount of audience participation which without a doubt all the children loved.
Daisy kept the show flowing while Peppa and her friends went on their adventures. The scenes were exactly as you see on the television.
The show ended at the seaside which was the big surprise and a finale of songs which the audience loved, especially our girls they joined in with all the actions and singing along!
The girls had a brilliant time watching Peppa Pig come to life on the stage and haven’t stopped talking about it since.
It was two hours well spent and really enjoyable.

Sounds fab. The boys love/d peppa pig. But will admit that it used to annoy me. Was definitely one of those where I sat there and gritted my teeth through it. That being said I would have taken them to this. Sounds great.
