Parents Evening Part 2

April 29, 2016

A couple of days ago we went to parents evening, for our four year twin girls, who attend the local primary school nursery, and it is the school that they have been accepted to attend full-time in September.

As I said in my previous post.I wasn’t quite sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised,at what our four year old twins have achieved in such a short time.
On arrival we were giving their learning journals,to look though and all the comments, said by the teachers were very positive and they both seem to be doing really well.
We then sat down with their teacher and she talked about M first and said she always walks into nursery sits down and gets on with something straight away she talks to other children easily and is very good with her writing and numbers.

Then the teacher talked about R,she is a little bit different to M and tends to watch and wait before deciding what she would like to do. Her writing and numbers are excellent and understanding of phonics is very good.

Their teacher observed how very different the girls are no surprise there!
The nicest thing the teacher said was they are well behaved and very friendly.
They talk about family a lot and how important it is to them and have a good sense of belonging. Really couldn’t ask for more as I am huge supporter of family values and R and M at the tender age of four are understanding that. Nearly brought a tear to my eye.

One final thought for me was I was very curious if they stay together at nursery and apparently they do drift away from each other for short spells, but come back to each other’s sides. I love the fact, that they have each other as security in the big wide world. I hope is a lifelong relationship bond.
