Predicting My Twins Tastes When They Are Teenagers

About a year ago I wrote a post about my five year old twin girls and how their personalities and characters are so completely different. They are without a doubt my little superhero and princess.

It’s fascinating that they are only two minutes apart in being born, but can be so totally different. The one twin M is definitely a girly girl with dresses and hair bands in abundance, and pink being the colour of choice. On the other hand my other twin R is my Superhero with Spider-Man being her character of choice and her clothes can’t have flowers or bows on them.

This got me wondering if I could predict what they were going to be like when they became teenagers. The big question is will their tastes stay the same or will they change and will they both end up liking the same things, which of course could be either superhero or princess tastes.

So I thought I would try to predict their tastes from the age of 15 to 19 years old.

1. 15 Years Of Age

This is the age when so many things are changing and I’m sure the girls will be going out to house parties and of course trying to be more grown-up than they actually are. Will both the girls be using make-up all the time? I expect they will probably both be experts at applying make up and putting on fake eyelashes. There is every chance they will be going out of the house dressed in mini-skirts, high heels and me chasing after them shouting you are not leaving the house looking like that. Haha!

2. 16 Years Of Age

The year of the school prom, that dreaded time when I’m sure the girls will take out all the stress of looking just right out on mum and dad. Is this the time when I will see R in a long flowing dress or will she be dressed down because she most definitely doesn’t wear dresses at the moment. Will that trait continue until she is 16? M on the other hand will I’m sure be dressed in something very pink and most definitely glamorous, but who knows, I could be completely wrong.

3. 17 Years Of Age

I believe this is possibly the year that I may get to meet boyfriends or other significant partners because after all you never know, it will be a strange experience thinking that another person other than mum or dad will be possibly more important in their lives. But I guess I will have to roll with it.

4. 18 Years Of Age

Will both the girls be interested in getting piercings? I’m sure R definitely will be. It wouldn’t at all surprise me to see her with a nose and lip piercing, and even possibly a tongue piercing. But M well she can be a bit frightened of things at times and I wouldn’t be surprised to see her sister have it done and for M to run a mile. Haha!

5. 19 Years Of Age

So now they are passed the age where I won’t get a say on what they do and when they do it. The decisions they make will be theirs to either succeed or fail at. What will my twin daughters be doing at 19 years old? I would predict that R will be in university, studying really hard, and most likely still loving her superhero’s. M I think will be probably be working somewhere earning good money, getting ready every Friday and Saturday to go clubbing in town with friends.

Of course I could be completely wrong and my twins will do completely the opposite to what I predict. Of course time will tell and I for one can’t wait to watch them grow and see if any of their traits and tastes of today are still there in 10 years time.
