R and M go to a birthday party at local park
R & M were invited to their friends third birthday party at a local park close to the city centre called Victoria Park.
Victoria Park has been open for over one hundred years. It’s a unique park because it has an open air pool.
For many years a seal lived at the park called Billy and there is a statue of Billy in the park.
The party started at 2 o’clock and it was very cloudy with occasional sprinkles of sunshine. The park has a very large park area with lots of slides, swings and even a zip wire. The girls loved it!
Eventually the girls wanted to go in the pool. It wasn’t that warm so thankfully the girls didn’t stay in too long.
We then all sat down for the birthday tea party and played some party games. One of the games being played was pass the parcel which the girls have never played before, but they soon realised how to play and loved it.
Although the weather was not the best R and M absolutely loved going to their friends birthday party at the park.

I always find it amazing that kids don't care about the weather, it's me that doesn't want to stand in the rain. That park looks a-mazing! Need one like that in my hometown xo

Oh My, you are in our hometown! We visit Victoria Park often when we visit the grandparents who still live in Cardiff. Love the photo of the girls in sun glasses…wicked Bro!
