Our Family Holiday in Menorca 2015 part 1
Our family holiday this year was an all inclusive holiday in Menorca with Thomson, staying at the Hotel Victoria Playa in the resort of Santo Tomas.
The advantages of an all inclusive holiday is that you never have to pay for anything while you are there and having three and half year old twins this makes your holiday run very smoothly.
On our holiday was my wife, mum, our three year old twin girls and my 16 year old son.
The hotel was very good quality with excellent facilities for all ages which suited us as a family. The hotel had a children’s pool which had slides in. There was also a large park with numerous slides which was all very well maintained and our twin girls loved it.
It had two bar areas. One where there was nightly entertainment for children and later in the night adult entertainment. The other bar was quiet and a lovely place to chill.
The restaurant was large which meant you never needed to wait to be seated whatever time you decided to eat.
The food was excellent and the vast majority was cooked in a central grill in the restaurant whilst you were eating so you always knew the food was fresh.
The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful at all times. They simply couldn’t do enough for you.
The Thomson reps were good, but at times they seemed to be entertaining themselves rather than the guests. There seemed to be a naivety about them and I found out that it was their first year as reps. I realise that they need to learn, but I think a combination of new and some more experienced reps would have been better.
The rooms were lovely and beautifully furnished and cleaned every day to a very high standard. We had a balcony with a beautiful sea view too which was great.
Overall the hotel more than lived up to my expectations and I would recommend anyone to stay there.
