R and M update since starting nursery

It has been fascinating watching them change and grow in confidence, and becoming a little less reliant on mummy and daddy.

When the girls first started nursery their apprehension was all too obvious to see. Unfortunately in the first few weeks both were unwell and consequently missed a few days. 

Once they were both fully fit there was a change that I noticed. They went straight into the cloakroom, hanged up their bags and coats on their pegs, held hands and walked into the classroom together. It was so very cute and reassuring that they had each other. 

As the weeks passed by slowly they would mention names of other children so I gathered they must be talking to other children. 

At home they started to play together more and even started making up games amongst themselves, which was very new. R has begun to start conversations and sometimes it feels like you are talking to an adult!

M has definitely also showed signs of growing up. She loves being helpful and getting things for mummy and daddy. R is also doing the same. 

In the week leading up to half term both the girls were excited about going to nursery and started to almost run into class!

During half term, the girls definitely missed nursery because they kept asking when they would go back and told us that they missed their teachers! 

In the short time of six weeks the girls have started to have an element of independence which they are loving! It’s their new world and where I worried about them being in nursery without mummy and daddy I have to admit it’s probably the best thing ever for them!

I am now so looking forward to their Christmas play.
