R and M working their parents
The twins are nearly four years old and they have quickly learnt that you can play a game of asking dad for something and when he says no, you can then ask mum! This is becoming a very common occurrence in our household.
It’s interesting how they have started to play mind games. Assessing the situation and deciding what they want. It’s quite often a two pronged attack.
So what’s the answer? Well as we are their Mum and Dad we should be on the same page, but truth be known I’m sometimes not reading the same book let alone same page and I believe R and M know this and use it to their advantage.
I wonder quite often do they know who is the softest touch and they definitely know it’s daddy and of course they are right! I’m totally useless at saying no. Well that’s not entirely true, I say no once and then in the next breath, I’ll say oh gone on then!
Now the wife. Well it’s interesting because she comes across strict. Strict, my bum! We can be out my wife will see something and it’s an instant yes.
R and M have been blessed with actually two soft touch parents and is it really a bad thing? I don’t think so. I know we both love spoiling the girls.
My general feeling is your children are little for a short time and where’s the problem in spoiling them a bit? To be honest I enjoy spoiling them it gives me a very happy feeling!

My daughter has started doing this! It's definitely tricky to keep on the same page. Luckily, our house is small so we can usually hear her asking the other parent first! #justanotherlinky

Me and my partner are the same to! I have had to say no to her with a few things recently because her behaviour has become quite bad, and her temper! It's funny how a mother and father think different things. Lovely post
