Renovating Our New Home

On July 10th this year we received the keys to our new home. This was an emotional moment for my wife and I because for the last 17 years, which is the time we have been together, we have always rented our homes. Now, finally, we are homeowners with a mortgage. It feels like we are all grown-up haha!

We had only viewed the property once and on the same day we made an offer which was thankfully accepted. It took 11 weeks to complete the sale and by the time we were given the keys I had all but forgotten what condition everything was in. What I did know was that it needed complete renovation which included fitting a new kitchen and re-decorating every room.
