The Benefits of having a Veranda
Ever since working on house last year, I’ve wanted a veranda! If you’re unsure what a veranda is it’s one these.
Basically it’s a structure that’s fixed to your property that can add some extra living space to your garden. They come in all sorts of different shapes and sizes from companies such as 123v. They’re pretty versatile and I think they look pretty effective too.
There are also certain benefits of having a veranda. These are as follows:
Value
They can add value to your property and make your home stand out from the crowd. By creating more room and a more attractive garden, verandas can often help to add to the price of your home. So it’s quite often a worthwhile investment.

Space
Verandas are a great way to add some extra living space to your home or garden. Quite often verandas are fixed in such a way that you can open up patio doors out onto it, which in turn creates the illusion of a bigger room. Of course they can also mean you have more space to sit outdoors too.
Cool
If placed strategically, a veranda can help to keep your home cool, which in turn can possibly help to reduce your bills. By providing shelter from the sun, there’s no need for expensive air conditioning units.
Outdoors
Verandas look inviting and can you encourage you to spend more time outdoors. I mean would you rather sit inside on a hot summer evenings watching TV, or would you rather sit under your veranda, drink in hand?
Entertainment
Verandas are also a great place to entertain guests. Maybe a summer party or a BBQ. I think they’d be great for keeping children cool who are lucky enough to have a birthday in the summer!
What do you think? Do you have a veranda? If not, would you ever consider investing in one?
