This weeks word is upbeat. For myself the most upbeat moment in my life is about my twin girls who were born six weeks early and spent the first 10 days of their lives in intensive care and in a neonatal unit with tubes everywhere and monitors beeping. It was a very worrying time for my wife and I. Not having any control was hard, plus worst still we were not in our home town.
After 10 days the girls were repatriated back to our home town hospital although this was stressful it felt better that we would be home.
On arriving at the hospital we rushed to see the girls on the neo-natal unit and when we saw them they were out of the incubators and in cots much to our surprise! Our joy, happiness and hope gave us a very upbeat look on the future. The girls were finally moving in the right direction.
