WOW! I’ve Been Shortlisted For An Award with Blogosphere magazine!

Well, this was a big surprise! On Monday morning, May 8th, as I was getting everything ready to start the school run for my five year old twin girls my phone pinged with a notification from Twitter.

That’s not particularly unusual at that time of the morning because I seem to be forever on twitter, haha! I usually just glance at it and think will look properly later.

On this particular morning though, this tweet stopped me and I needed to read it! When I started reading it, I actually struggled to read what was written. I had been shortlisted for parenting blog of the year with Blogosphere Magazine, along with four other parent bloggers. At this point I would like to say congratulations to the other four bloggers. Well done guys!

For me after two and half years of blogging, in which I have worked incredibly hard to make my blog as successful as possible, it’s a truly amazing moment. I have only been nominated twice in those two and half years. So to be shortlisted in a list of five bloggers, for me is humbling and an achievement in itself. It also makes me feel honoured and very proud. Winning the category, oh well! That’s a different story because the competition is very good and I think we all probably deserve it. Who knows, stranger things have happened!

The final decision will be decided on a 60% editorial team decision and 40% public vote. As I’ve never been in this position before, I’m not quite sure of the correct protocol, but if you like my blog, what and how I write my posts about, it would be amazing if you could take a second and give me a vote. It would mean the world to me and I would love you forever.
