5 Exciting Ways To Clear The Cobwebs From Your Life

April 25, 2021

Has the heady combination of a marathon lockdown gradually easing off and the sun coming out got your sap rising?

If you’re emerging relatively unscathed from this global pandemic, you might be thanking your lucky stars, seeing things from a whole new perspective and feeling determined to rearrange your priorities so that you’re a healthier, happier you for yourself and the people you love.

To help you on your way, I have collated five exciting ways to clear the cobwebs from your life – enjoy!

  1. Get fit with breakdance

Do you have a penchant for performing ‘the worm’ or ‘the running man’ when you’re feeling refreshed at a party?

Learning to breakdance (or getting instruction on any dance style) can help you avoid injury, get fit, feel great and be the life and soul of any party.

If you’ve got dancing feet, polish your moves with some online dance lessons from Steezy – you’ll be gliding over the dance floor in no time!

  1. Get back to nature

Whether you’re back in the office, working from home permanently or a hybrid model of both, getting outdoors for even half an hour a day is really important for your mental and physical health.

If you live near a forest or park, lucky you – but just spending some ‘you time’ on your balcony or strolling around your neighbourhood will do the trick too.

  1. Do something that nurtures you daily

Do you like reading, meditating, yoga, flower arranging or any other hobby?

If you’re nodding your head, this isn’t something you should feel guilty about taking time for regularly – in fact, you should dedicate some time to it every day if you can. When you take time to nurture yourself, you’re topping up positive energy and building resilience for tough times.

  1. Switch off from social media

Social media can be great for keeping in touch with far-flung friends and family – or even those closer to home in these recent restrictive times!

But it can also be a bit of an echo chamber where you’re served content that algorithms presume you’ll like instead of material which might challenge your beliefs and help you grow, as well as some downright depressing content. So take a digital detox at least once a month – unplug from all social accounts for 48 hours and see how you feel afterwards.

  1. Study for a new career

If you’re stuck in a post-pandemic career crisis but not sure how to get out of it and move forward, have you ever considered an online degree?

With distance learning degrees from the likes of ARU Distance Learning, you can study fascinating subjects like digital marketing and psychology in your own time and earn a qualification that employers in your new field really rate.

Take your pick from this quintet of cobweb blasting tips and turn over a new leaf in your life this spring/summer – you can thank me later!
