5 life lessons to share with your children

August 12, 2015

I was tagged by the wonderful Emily who just happens to be my beautiful wife to take part in this tag. Emily blogs at Twin Mummy and Daddy.

So here it is.
1. Education is still the way to a brighter future, a better job etc. So don’t go through school just doing enough work to get by. Work hard to get the best results you can and fulfill your potential in school.
2. Money. Manage your money sensibly and try and save some for a rainy day. Don’t get credit cards or borrow money if you can’t pay it back and save up if there is something you want to buy as there will be a lot of satisfaction knowing that you paid for it with your own hard saved money.
3. Do all the things you want to do whatever that might be. It could be travelling, holidays etc. Don’t have regrets as life is not a rehearsal. You only get one go.
4. I am a great believer in what goes around comes around so with that in mind make sure you treat people how you want to be treated and do people a good turn if you can and then at some point you will be rewarded

5. Finally follow your dreams and be happy. Never regret anything you do as it is gone and you can’t change it. Treat it as a life experience and learn from it.
I norminate the following bloggers to take part if they want to.

Al from The Dad Network
Ryan from Dad Creek
Rod from Modern Dad Pages
Dan from Dear Dads

I joined in with this linky about 3 months ago – so interesting isn't it? I love reading other people's tips. Yours are very typical of a dad – practical things first! Couldn't agree more though 🙂

Great post. All good life lessons for kids. Knowing it is ok to learn from life and that we all make mistakes and move on is great. Kirsten

Always follow your dreams, without a doubt. Life is too short not to.

Great advice I would only add one – The amount of sarisfaction you get out of anything (job, hobby, relationship) will always match the amount of effort you put in #blinkylinky
