[AD] Taking Control Of My Finances With Money Dashboard

August 27, 2020

When you are self employed the one most overriding factor is if you don’t work you don’t earn any money and that became all the more apparent during the pandemic of the last six months.

When COVID-19 first appeared in the UK and we were put into a national lockdown one of my initial thoughts besides staying safe was if I can’t work how are we going to survive financially and pay the bills. As a married couple we are very good financially, but it can always be improved and the pandemic has without question highlighted that it’s so important to stay on top of our money.

So when I recently approached by Money Dashboard to try trial and review there personal finance and budgeting app. I thought to myself yes that is something I definitely want to try and hopefully organise my finances in a better situation.

We live in a world nowadays of card payment for just about everything whether that’s in the shops or online. I grew up in a world where you would pay cash for everything so you always knew how much money you, but nowadays with the constant use of card it’s more difficult to know exactly how much money you have without having to constantly sign into your bank account.

This can all be eliminated by using Money Dashboard because you can link up all your cards such as debit, credit or even store cards which will show you where and how you spending your money.

How Does Money Dashboard work?

First thing I did was to download the Money Dashboard app which is available from the Google store for android or the Apple App Store for the iPhone. Next up I registered and when I entered my details I was sent a verification code then just enter my gender, DOB, and postcode that then secures your Money Dashboard account. It was really that simple.

Now it was time to link your accounts and you will be offered a number of options such as paying off debt, as a reason to start using the Money Dashboard.

Money Dashboard take all the hard work out of budgeting by simply categorising how you spend your money from household bills, takeaways and eating out, which gives you the ability to make decisions of how you spend your money, by showing you how and where you are spending.

Knowing your balance which can be viewed on either your smart phone, tablet or laptop, which is brilliant because even if you are away from home you find out exactly where you are with your money at any time. Another very important feature was the ability to know your balance after all your bills have been paid which is excellent that you can then budget what you have left and not overspend before the next payday.

It’s very important to note that the Money Dashboard is FCA authorised and regulated it has bank level security and has been operating safely for 10 years. This all means that your personal finances are secure and your data and information is protected at all times.

Money Dashboard has a mission to help people from every walk of life to be happier and more successful by mastering their money. Which is something I certainly want to do better manage my money better and Money Dashboard will definitely help me do that.

Final Thoughts

Money Dashboard has many benefits and of the key features that are second to none is the way that it breaks down your spending into categories and give you an up to date summary of your incoming money and your outgoings. You can also make a quick transfer between accounts by simply using the transfer button.

Money Dashboard is completely free to download and use and you can use all of the features. It was very simple to navigate around the app and I was never getting lost trying to do or find something. I will definitely was using the Money Dashboard going forward to keep a closer eye on my finances and start saving for something special for my family and myself.

I would highly recommend Money Dashboard if you are looking to get your finances in order and hopefully give yourself some extra cash for those little extras in life.

Have you used Money Dashboard if you have I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
