One very common problem that many people find difficult to overcome is anxiety over their sexual performance. This is considerably more common than you would think. More often than not there is usually a simple solution. It could be that you have a medical issue such as diabetes or you are drinking too much alcohol. This is when you must trust and talk openly to your partner and make an appointment to see your doctor together. It’s important to find out if an underlying health issue is causing you to struggle to have fulfilling sex and ultimately affect your performance. Ignoring it will only cause stress and anxiety and that will make the problem even worse. Don’t be embarrassed talk to your partner in an open and honest way and solve the problem together.

If things in the bedroom department have gone stale and boring, talk about that, as well. Physical intimacy can be very important in relationships. If something’s keeping you or your partner from enjoying sex together, you need to identify the problems and work it out instead of ignoring the situation.

Many men will experience sexual dysfunction at least once in their life. Erectile dysfunction (ED) can serve a huge blow to his self-esteem and mental health. Similarly, many women can experience painful sex (dyspareunia), which can make them fear or reject having sexual intercourse with their partners.

The good thing is that most cases of ED are temporary and treatable. Women who experience dyspareunia can also undergo behavioral and pelvic therapy with vaginal dilators to help with their condition. During the entire duration of the treatment, acceptance, support, and communication are essential between partners.
