Are men finally starting to show their emotions
Is blogging the start of men showing a more emotional side of their character or has it been changing slowly over the years? Has it become more acceptable for men to show emotion and cry at special moments in their lives or a sad film?
We still live in a society that men are strong and breadwinners and God forbid men do not show weakness. In the media, TV etc the portrayal of men is still very much of the big, strong, tough man, but in reality we are not really like that.
There are now more stay at home dads (SAHD) than ever before. There could be a number of reasons, but I think a lot of men would consider this a weakness. I might add that’s not my thinking. I really admire and respect any man that decides to become a SAHD. I am with our twin girls one day a week on my own and there are times when it’s tough so looking after children all week – complete respect to you!
I for one have no problem showing emotion openly, especially if it involves one of my children. Recently we went to a live show in a theatre that the girls have watched a lot on TV and then to see the girls faces as the show started just completely in awe of everything, just spontaneously brought a tear to my eye.

It is sad that there are still so many men out there who cannot show emotion, I saw a video yesterday of Snoop Lion (dogg) watching his son play American Football and saying he wouldn't hug him that was his mums job, seemed sad to me.
