Bluestone day one

January 26, 2015

We arrived at Bluestone around 2.30pm after a two hour journey.

On arrival the staff at the welcome lodge were very friendly and helpful. We unfortually were not allowed to access to our lodge until 4.30pm
We decided to go and have a look at the Adventure Centre. Inside was a large soft play area which the girls absolutely loved and the time just flew by!

We then decided to have our tea at the Wild Wood Cafe. My wife and I both had chicken burgers and our girls had chicken nuggets with chips and beans. It was excellent value at just under £30 with drinks.

After tea we let the girls play on the bouncy castle for a while.

It was now 4.30pm and we were able to go our lodge. We’re staying in the Ramsey Lodge, which is fantastic! It’s  lovely and warm, very clean and has everything you need for your stay.

I really can’t find any faults! We unpacked the car and then I took the car back to the car park and picked up our buggy for transport during our stay.
After settling into our lodge we went in our buggy to the village. The girls loved the buggy and were laughing so much driving around!
The village has a selection of shops, but they were closed by the time we arrived which was quite late. I’m looking forward to wandering around them tomorrow.

First impressions for me is that Bluestone is an excellent holiday centre for families. I’m looking forward to checking out the Blue Lagoon tomorrow.
