Dating after divorce

November 2, 2016

Dating after a divorce can be a pretty tricky subject matter. I have experience of both divorce and dating after it. I was lucky in that after my divorce, I met my now wife, and knew instantly that it was love. For others though, dating after divorce can be hard.

At the time of marrying, you probably never even thought of divorce, but it’s a fact of life that can happen to anyone. After being with someone for so long, meaning that you’ve been out of the dating game for a while, knowing where to start can be a minefield!

Thankfully, the wonders of technology, apps and the internet have come a long way over the past decade, and dating websites are now more popular than ever before.

Divorce is pretty common for most age groups, but when you’re over 50, starting life on the dating scene again is pretty daunting. That’s where I think online dating has its advantages. There are lots of dating websites online, but some such as, http://www.maturitydating.co.uk/, and http://www.50-dating.co.uk/, are aimed at people over 50.

By seeking love online, you can slowly start to get yourself back into the dating game. There’s no need for awkward face-to-face meetings in the local pub, no need for cheesy chat-up lines or worrying about what to wear, as you can chat to other like-minded people online from the comfort of your own home. When you decide to meet up face to face and it starts to develop into an intimate relationship it may be that you need a little help. This is where pheromone oil is perfect to help you over any awkward moments by boosting your attraction and raising your confidence levels.

Although chatting online is often easier for most than chatting face-to-face, there are some no-go areas, especially for divorcees.

It’s important to forget about the past. Don’t talk about what life used to be like when you were married. Think to the future and keep the conversation light-hearted. It’s important to be honest, so mentioning that you’re divorced is ok, but don’t dwell on it. Say it, then move on!

Don’t rush into anything. You may be lonely, confused and wondering what life has in store for you now, but this is a new chapter in your life therefore it’s important for you to discover who you are again, what you want from life and where you’re headed. Most importantly relax and have fun!
