Decorating five rooms in one house using farrow&ball paint

I was recently employed to decorate five separate areas in one property. The customer wanted me to use Farrow and Ball paint.

This was certainly a big job and I pride myself on delivering perfection on every job that I do. 

The first area I decided to do was the hall, landing and stairs. This was a very large area which included 11 doors. I painted all of the ceilings in All White Estate Emulsion.

The walls were painted in Calluna Estate Emulsion and all the woodwork was painted in All White Estate Eggshell.

The next area was the dining room. Again the ceiling was painted in All White Estate Emulsion and all the walls were painted in  Pidgeon Estate Emulsion.

It’s quite a dark colour and it required three coats to cover the existing colour underneath which was a light colour

The woodwork was also painted in All White Estate Eggshell.

We moved onto the lounge and the ceiling was painted in All White Estate Emulsion.

All of the walls were painted in Blue Grey Estate Emulsion and finally again the woodwork was painted in All White Estate Eggshell.

The next area was the kitchen. The ceiling was painted in All White Estate Emulsion and all of the walls were painted in Parma Fray and the woodwork was painted in All White Estate Eggshell.

The final area to be painted was a bedroom. The ceilings were painted in All White Estate Emulsion and all the walls in Stone Blue Estate Emulsion and finally the woodwork in All White Estate Emulsion.

When I started the job I was dubious about the colour choice. I have never advised on colour because once I have painted a room I leave and don’t have to live with it, but I have to be honest I loved the colour choice!

The colour flowed beautifully from one room to another. Each area complimented the other.

Two more coats of paint were applied to every area that was painted.

Farrow and Ball colours are very unique and give a different tint in different lights.
