Enhancing my bedroom with Julian Charles
This is an entry into a competition with Julian Charles to win £500 to spend on the Julian Charles website.
As a dad, husband and self-employed painter and decorator, I don’t get much time to myself. If I’m not working, I’m usually looking after my four year old twin girls and if I’m not doing that then you’ll probably find me talking to my three grown up children about what’s going on in their lives. In amongst all of that I need to find time to do my mums food shopping and of course keep my own house in order.
When I do get a rare moment to myself, I like to spend it relaxing. I live in a bungalow which is mostly adorned with toys, children’s clothes and various crafty creations! Therefore having just one room that I retreat to and forget about what’s going on in any of the other rooms in my house is pretty much a luxury!
With that in mind, I’d use the following products from the Julian Charles range to enhance my bedroom. I like the idea of a simple room, but that doesn’t mean I want it to look boring. A splash of colour can help to brighten a room up without overdoing it too much.
I love the look of the Freya Natural Luxury Jacquard Duvet Set. The white is simple, but I’d add a colourful red throw along with a mixture of red and white cushions. To finish the room off a nice pair of white eyelet curtains. Now that’s a room I could really relax in! What do you think?
