First few days at nursery
R and M have attended their first three days of nursery. It has been an interesting time not without a few tears and lots of emotion, and that’s just my wife!
We woke up and the girls seemed in a much better mood and seemed happier to go. I decided to stay quiet and let my wife take control so they didn’t have both of us bombarding them. My wife had a great idea of giving them each a teddy bear to go in their rucksacks that will remind them of us. It certaintly did the trick. We also thought it best that just my wife took them to nursery. All went to plan and they stayed for the full session. M did get a little upset when she saw her mum, but R had definitely settled in well.
How things can change in just 24 hours.
We had no protests about going to nursery the night before, but M was feeling worse than the night before and woke up constantly coughing throughout the night. This was not a good start.
My wife took them in and there were tears from both of the girls so she turned and left quickly. Unfortunately about 45 minutes later the nursery called to say M had been sick and she would have to be picked up so a not so good finish to their first few days in nursery.
