Halloween, Iceland and #thepoweroffrozen

October 27, 2016

This year my four year old twin girls have become more aware of Halloween and this has happened since they started full-time school. The school had a scaries and fairies party just a few days ago and the girls loved dressing up.

During half-term they went to a Halloween workshop at a local garden centre to make Halloween decorations and asked if they could have a Halloween party at home for a few of their school friends, on the weekend.

This was great timing as I’ve teamed up with Iceland to create a party using their range of quick, easy and convenient frozen party food.

Party food
The great thing about Iceland is that you can either order online or pop into your local store, either way Iceland make it an easy shopping experience. On this occasion I went along to my local Iceland store as it’s only a five minute drive away.
Picking the food was easy as all the party food is together in the same freezer compartments. Keeping in mind that the products I bought are for a children’s Halloween party I choose the following:

1. Mini deep dish pizzas, which were 9 ham & cheese, and 9 ‘three’ cheese. Perfect for kids and absolutely delicious.

Party food
2. Bread cheese selection in breadcrumbs. This is a pack of 12 with stunning fillings including Yorkshire Wensleydale &apricot, French Camebert & onion and mozzarella jalapeño.

Party food
3. Sticky chicken skewers with sesame seeds what can I say, mouth watering!

4. Spring  vegetable rolls which are beautifully filled and very tasty!

5. Always a big hit with the kids, chicken Goujons which are made with 100% chicken breast.

6. Party sausage rolls. A pack of 12 which included 6 pork and 6 pork and chorizo ones which taste fantastic!

The combination of all the frozen party foods were excellent and the kids loved the way it all tasted!

The parents enjoyed all of them too and it was easy to cook and simple to serve.

#thepoweroffrozen really is powerful! All of the above foods were quick and convenient to cook. In addition to this they were all tasty and perfect for any type of party.

To finish off our food spread we had some of Iceland’s millionaire shortbread mini bites, rocky road mini bites with some ice-cream after dinner mints and New York salted caramel cheesecakes.

As an added bonus if you bought three different frozen party foods you could get a swizzels party mix of sweets. Now that is value for money!

The workshop my twins had attended earlier that day saw them making spooky spider Halloween decorations and we had some Halloween glow decorations from Iceland to finish off our table.

Iceland’s range of frozen party foods is great. You really get value for money and their range is very varied. The quality and taste is excellent and I would highly recommend shopping for your Halloween party at Iceland this weekend!
