Throughout the winter months, my wife and I have continued to enjoy spending time in our garden. Whether this be watering the plants that we’d planted from seed back in March of last year, to tidying up the borders or simply sitting outdoors wrapped up warm with a hot cup of tea and watching the sun go down!
Usually though, our time in the garden often goes into the night. This is mainly because we have five year old twin girls so when we’re in the garden with them, we don’t actually get much done aside from soaking the patio, grass and quite often our clothes with water as the girls attempt to water the plants all by themselves!
My wife and I don’t mind working until it’s dark. To be honest we tend to get a lot done whilst the girls are in bed, but when it comes to putting our tools away and unplugging things such as our trimmer and lawn mower doing this in the dark isn’t fun, but it’s also pretty hard when you can’t actually see what you’re doing!
Thankfully I’ve found a really simply solution that used three lights from LED Hut. I simply ordered a set of two wireless multi-purpose mini LED lights (£16.99) and also a multi-purpose motion activated night light (£12.99).
Both sets of lights are battery operated which is great as it means no wires and no having to get out the extension lead! The multi-purpose mini LED lights are activated by a motion sensor that will automatically illuminate once motion is detected, and even better will automatically turn off 20 seconds after motion was last detected so that helps to save battery life.
The multi-purpose motion activated night light is also activated by a motion sensor, and is battery powered. It’ll also turn off by itself 20 seconds after motion is detected.
Using lights like these means that you have the flexibility of being able to place them anywhere you want. You don’t have to worry about connecting them to a mains power supply, plus you don’t have to fumble about in the dark looking for the ‘on’ switch as they’ll automatically come on.
They’re the perfect solution for lighting up your shed and it’s a pretty easy and stress-free solution if you ask me!

Great idea! I use lights like this indoors already, now that we have a garden at the new house and a couple of sheds, I might order some more so dad can see what he’s doing in there! Thanks for the tip.
