Inside the mind of a Four Year Old
Wouldn’t you just love to get inside the mind of a four year child? I would! I think it’s fascinating watching them watching you!
They have an innocence that it is so far untouched that they don’t see bad things or bad people or any sort of evil in the world.
I have often heard my older children say I wish I was fours years old again and I understand why. I wish I was at times. The reasons really are quite simple.
There are no worries, whether it be emotional, work, school, relationships or money. When you are four, life is just one huge playground. You have these two big people (mum and dad) catering to your every whim. You can order them around to get whatever you want when you want it. This is perfect, an ideal life without actually having to put much effort in yourself!
Whenever the mood takes you, you can have a meltdown because mum or dad will come along and make it all better. Your tea is cooked and you can decide just as it’s put on the table. Well, actually I don’t want that, a nd then smile as your mum or dad give out a huge sigh trying to control their temper, and then when a sandwich is made for you and it’s been cut into squares, you can instantly moan that you wanted triangles. Don’t you just love it!
If I could get into the mind of a four year I’m convinced I would find a very clever and manipulative little human being that knows exactly what buttons to press to achieve exactly what they want, and of course as parents we fall straight into their little trap!
Do we mind that that we are being pulled from pillar to post by these little people? Well, I for one don’t mind! It’s the deal isn’t it! And actually quite funny how smart four year olds are!

Oh yes..they are definitely smarter than we give them credit for. My boy is only 3 but he already knows how to work his way around me and get what he wants. Ahh the sandwiches thing, I hate it I always go for the wrong shape!xx #BloggerClubUK

True. Also a twinge of longing, when pushing my little guy through the park, to have someone push me around in a pushchair again. Especially after a long day! He can just sit, nap or snack all the way home.

I certainly recognise this. Life's easy when you're 4. #BloggerClub33
