J D Bug Scooter 4 Review

My five year old twin girls love scooting and when I was approached by Halfords to review a JD Bug scooter it was perfect timing! Our twins are ready to step up to the next level, which is a scooter with two wheels, unlike the ones they have been using at the moment which have three wheels. The JD bug scooter is perfectly designed for young riders and also comes in two very eye catching colours, blue or pink.

Here are some key features of the JD Bug Scooter:

Perfect for young riders

2 eye-popping colours

Easily folds away for transportation and storage

Reinforced deck and handlebars

The JD Bug Scooter is designed for children aged 5+ so it’s perfect for my twin girls. It’s sturdy, but also lightweight and of course is foldable, so very easy to take on holiday because it won’t take up much room in your car.

My twin girls love to scoot to school so this is perfect, because you can fold them up easily to carry home, as there is nowhere to leave them in school.

We have always gone on bike rides as a family, which is a great way to get outdoors for some fresh air and excerise. What’s very cool now though is that we can go for a scooter ride as a family, which is loads of fun, and a very healthy activity.

Although the girls were going from three wheeled scooters to a two wheeled scooter, they had no problem with balance and were quickly flying along overtaking mum and dad.

The JD Bug Scooter retails at £60.00 normally, but currently it’s half price at £30.00 from Halfords, and it can be purchased online from the Halfords Kids Zone hub. I think it’s fantastic value for a quality scooter to introduce your kids to the world of scooters.

Please remember to always to wear a helmet and protective knee and elbow pads, just in case they fall off.

Disclosure. I was gifted a scooter for this review and all thoughts and opinions are 100% mine.
