Kids Will Change The Way You Look That’s Guaranteed
Regular readers will know that I am a father of five children. The other day I was looking at some photographs of my older children when they were little. I thought as I was browsing through them, OMG, I have changed! Then I realised what had happened is that I have aged. That’s what having five children does to you!
I believe from the moment your children are born you start worrying about everything they do and that worry never stops. For instance, my 22 year old daughter is about to go on holiday with her boyfriend to Cape Verde. I know she’s a grown-up and very responsible, but that doesn’t stop me worrying and adding a few more wrinkles and grey hairs. I won’t be happy until she’s safely back home.
Looking back on watching my children grow up and the sleepless nights, which I might add I have a few more of those to come, especially with five year old twins! When they’re teenagers you allow them some freedom such as going out late at night or sleepovers at their friends houses etc. You have to trust them, but that doesn’t stop you worrying. I’m convinced this helped turn my hair grey overnight and now I struggle to see my natural colour. I think I’m slowly turning into a silver fox! As such, the time has come I think to buy that colour dye. Haha!
Of course, once I’d come to terms with my grey hairs, I started to notice how my eyes had little creases forming around the edges and now they look like crows feet. Botox is beckoning.
After these two big changes that have happened to the way I look, I wonder what is next? I wouldn’t at all be surprised to see my hair fall out, because children never stop worrying you. I could quite easily see myself getting some hair transplant, as my hair becomes becomes thinner.
Having children is the most wonderful experience in the world, but there is no doubt that the constant full on attention they require has had an effect on how I look.
Do you think having children has changed the way you look? I would love to hear your thoughts.

I wholeheartedly agree on the worry front. Even when they’re happy and healthy I doubt we will ever get a solid nights sleep as you always have half an eye out for them.
