Laughing with our Twin Girls.
Our twin girls have been giving me a lot of laughs this week and quite often I’m sure they don’t realise it.
On Tuesday we were out for lunch to celebrate my 19 year old daughter, E’s birthday. M always has to have a wee whenever we go out. It’s almost as if she is checking out the toilets! So as usual after about ten minutes she said “I need a wee”. My daughter took her and 15 minutes later she announced that she needed another wee. Ok I said and my daughter offered to take her again. As they walked away she turned around with the face of an angel and said “It’s a magical wee”, which has become a code phrase for ‘I don’t want a wee really, I’m bored and I want to do something.’ Very funny!
On another occasion, the twins and my wife were rushing to leave the house to go to a craft session at a local garden centre, and as most children do they were running to the car. R fell over and and cut her knee. Not badly, but it was still a pretty nasty cut. I was working not far from home so came home and between us we patched her up and the three of them went off to the craft session.
Later that day they were home when I got in from work and R was looking a little bit sorry for herself, and then something happened and she happy as you can be, was running around everywhere. Then she stopped and the fake limp came into play! So funny watching her run and then remembering she had cut her leg – sympathy limp!
These couple of occasions this week are showing me how the twins are developing. The ability through imagination and actually just being clever to either achieve a laugh or maybe get some TLC.
They are not even five years old yet, but they are growing up so fast. I’m wondering if I will be able to keep up!

What great fun. These are the best kind of days, just enjoying their company and having fun together.
