Lego City Mining Review/Giveaway With Smyths #ad

I have teamed up with Smyths to review the Lego City Mining sets, which are exclusive to Smyths.

My six year old twin girls and myself absolutely love Lego so making the city mining sets was going to great fun. And being half-term a week or so ago it was perfect timing to occupy the girls for what turned out to be nearly full day.

The four sets of Lego all combine to make a complete gold Mining site with lots of machinery and vehicles to extract the gold from the rock face and quarry.

The main set includes everything you need to start your gold mine, a huge machine for dividing the rock from the gold. A mine entrance and railway track for bringing out the gold once you have drilled out or dynamited to free the valuable gold nuggets. Then are dumper trucks and lorries to transport it. There are lots men and women workers, great that Lego are embracing the workforce that no matter what job it is also open to women.

In the accompanying three other sets there is a massive drill which I thought was pretty awesome I actually imagined myself driving one in real life. There is also a tech station and place where you can weigh the gold and check it’s quality and a tool station.

In set two and three, there is a smaller pile driver machine that breaks up large rocks to uncover hidden gold, and the final and fourth set this includes a dumper truck and more workers. watch out for wild wandering around.

This is fantastic collection of Lego sets that once you have put them together does create an amazing gold mine, that your children will have hours of fun playing and creating. My twin girls are playing with it constantly digging out the gold. Their creativity was help by the fact that all the machinery had moving parts and all the vehicles had wheels and tyres that moved very smoothly, which enhanced the girls imagination when playing with the gold mine.

As I have said these sets are exclusive to Smyths and the total cost is around £142.00, but it’s really worth every single penny.

Lego is as always very easy to put together and the instructions are always easy to understand, to prove this my one six year old twin put an entire dumper truck together on her own, I actually think she was quicker than me.

My overall opinion is this particular Lego City Mining is brilliant, and I would highly recommend it.
