Nowadays people don’t just limit their family holidays to the summer. In fact many families now have two holidays a year. A very popular choice is to have a winter holiday of which skiing is usually the number one choice. Of course with a skiing holiday you have to have the right equipment and clothing. It’s a bit different from a summer holiday when all you need is a selection of shorts and t-shirts.
So here is my guide to some of the essentials you will need if you are planning a skiing holiday. There are many places to buy what you need and huge savings can be made online at websites such as Simply Hike. So here is my list.
1. Ski Pants
It’s important when picking ski pants that they are waterproof because you are out on the piste for a long time. Make sure they are insulated for keeping you warm and it’s also a good idea that they have a four 4 way stretch and motion fit so you are comfortable and able to ski with freedom.
2. Ski Jackets
Finding the right ski jacket is very important and in my case I would be looking to see what is available in the Men’s Ski Jackets ranges that you can find online.
When looking for a ski jacket there are a few things you should be looking for. A ski jacket is not something you should skimp on quite simply because you will be wearing it all day while navigating the ski slopes.
I suggest you look for a ski jacket that is waterproof, flexible and well insulated. It should also be lightweight and well ventilated, plus look good and be stylish!
3. Ski Gloves
This is an absolute must for me. I have got to have warm hands! When picking ski gloves it’s worth buying leather gloves and having insulation such as primaloft that will keep your hands lovely and warm all day and also make sure they are water repellent.
4. Beanie/Socks/Neck Scarfs
Finally. So you are kitted out for your skiing holiday. It’s important that you don’t forget to buy accessories such as a beanie, thermal socks and possibly a neck scarf so you really look the business on the piste on your winter ski holiday.
So these are a few of the essentials you will need if you are planning on going skiing this winter. It’s important that you buy functional, warm and something that of course makes you look the business on the ski slopes. Remember you may be a beginner at skiing, but that doesn’t mean you can’t look fashionable especially when you fall over haha!
If you have any other suggestions I would love to hear in the comments below.
