My 5 Favourite bloggers of 2016 

This is not something I have done before, but I read a lot of blog posts throughout the year, and I often wondered what makes somebody one of my five favourite bloggers. 

When I read a post I like to feel the words and try to feel the emotion of the post which could be sadness, laughter or making me think about what the blogger is trying to convey to the reader. 

I also consider if all I am reading is  just one post and never going back to that blog or that feeling of not being able to wait for their next post because there is something exciting and raw about their writing which shows me that they are a brilliant writer. 

So here are my top five bloggers of 2016, in no particular order:

1. My First blogger, I only really discovered about six months ago is Emma from Island Living 365. The first thing about Emma that really struck me is that she is comfortable writing about humour, which I might add never fails to make me really giggle. She also writes about more serious topics like depression. Emma’s writing flows off the page and reading her posts is a pleasure every time. They always grab my attention from the first word. Two posts I love from Emma and show her fantastic ability as a writer are, Conversations with your mum and To stop depression we all need a hero.

2. My second blogger that I have enjoyed reading and always look forward to their next post is Jeremy who blogs at Thirsty Daddy.  I particular like his no nonsense approach to just about everything and I love reading about the adventures of his daughter, especially his youngest and his commitment and passion to his family is to be admired. He is straight to the point and I love that almost blunt approach, say it as it is. One post I highly recommend you check out is inherited idiosyncrasies, a fantastic insight.

3. My third blogger on the list is Laura who blogs at Five Little Doves. I have been reading Laura’s blog all year and never miss a post. What I love about Laura’s blog is her passion for her children and every time I read a post about her children it never fails to bring a lump to my throat. Laura never holds back, is always candid and very honest and her passion for family comes off the page at you. This is something that I totally resonate with as my family is also my world and reading Laura’s blog you can feel the love for her children and husband. One post this year that was one of the most emotional posts I have ever read is, How Many Children Do You Have.

4.  My fourth favourite blogger of 2016 is David who blogs at Potty Adventures. He is quite a new blogger, but he has already put down his mark. He writes a wonderful blog about the adventures he has with his family in the outdoors which could be hiking, walking or even festivals or just getting outdoors as a family. He has inspired me to get myself with my family outdoors more next year. His blog has a wonderful niche within the blogging world and I am predicting big things next year for him. I always look forward to his new posts, not only are they brilliantly written. but the photography is second to none. I loved the photography in this awesome post by David Beautiful llyn Brenig. David has also just recently been named as a finalist in the Tresspass Blog Awards in the hiking/walking category which is an awesome acheviement. 5. Finally, but certainly not least one blogger that I have to say has also become a great friend over the last 12 months writes like I would like to write. His topics are varied and this year he wrote a post about his birth mother. It choked me up. The honesty and bravery to write such a personal post is awesome. The blogger I am talking about is Alan at Omg it’s a girl . I have to say it’s a strange thing making friends online, but there is something about Alan’s humour that is incredibly similar to mine and strange as it is we have never met in person, but I consider him a very good friend and one of the most genourous bloggers out there. He will help in any way he can. I always eagerly await his next post because the quality and passion of his writing shines through. As I have already mentioned this post by Alan and his  birth mother has to be read. It’s without doubt the most emotional read of the year Why Did You Leave Me ?

That’s it my five bloggers and in no particular order that I have loved reading this year. They are all a little bit different in the topics that they write about, but they have a few things in common. They have passion, talent, honesty and totally engage the reader from the first word of every post.
