My daughter J is shortlisted for an award

April 9, 2016

My oldest daughter decided to find a job rather than go to university and it’s turning out to be the right decision for her.

She went to work for a large insurance company with good career prospects and I always thought if she applied herself the sky’s the limit.

She has been working there for two and half years and started at the bottom working the phones and hopefully showing she had something to offer.
About a year ago she was approached by a manager to say that she was being put forward for a seniors position.
It was obivious that she had drive, ambition and belief in herself to go places. Now it’s turned out her managers saw all those great qualities she had too.
A couple of weeks later she was given the job as a senior and has never looked back.
A couple of weeks ago she was told she was nominated as senior of the year for her department in her first year as a senior. This is an amazing acheivement and not to underestimate how well she has done.
Last night was the awards ceremony and although she didn’t win being shortlisted down to five people is a fantastic acheivement, well done! Love you lots, Dad x
