Our twins have such different tastes

The last week has been a little bit difficult to say the least. The girls have had a sickness bug and both my wife and myself have been affected to. I myself, not too badly, but on Friday my wife woke up in a terrible state with severe vomitting. I was able to go to work, but was home by 11am as my wife was finding it difficult to leave the bathroom!

On a Friday I do my mums food shopping as she is housebound. T’s one of my favourite jobs of the week, not! The twins came with me to help and I bribed them by saying that they could have a magazine each. It works every time! They do love a new magazine! I also said that I would take them to a friends party after we had finished at the supermarket. Bribery and toddlers is a great way to achieve a result!

It never ceases to amaze me that there is two minutes between them and that they have been brought up exactly the same, but their tastes are miles apart as the photo shows! One is in a dress and the other is wearing shorts and a hoodie. The twins, as they grow older are developing very different tastes and the choice of magazines sums it for me, exactly how different they are. R has gone for Spider-Man and M has picked a pony magazine.

I love the fact that their personalities and characters are so different. It makes them indivuals and hopefully as they grow up they won’t live in each other’s shadows as is so often the case in siblings and more often in twins. Hopefully they won’t be compared to each other and they can just be themselves.
